Tom Holland has reportedly become Hollywood’s highest-grossing actor at age 30, with the worldwide box-office total of films in which he has appeared reaching approximately US$15.5 billion. The figure places him ahead of Zoe Saldaña and Scarlett Johansson, who had held the top positions in recent years.

The milestone follows the 2026 release of two major films featuring Holland: Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and Sony and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The Odyssey, in which Holland plays Telemachus, opened internationally on July 17, while Spider-Man: Brand New Day was released on July 31. Universal lists Holland among The Odyssey’s principal cast, alongside Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o and Zendaya.

Sony’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day returns Holland as Peter Parker, the role that transformed him into a global star. The film also features Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo. Sony describes the story as a new chapter for Parker, who is fighting crime in a world that no longer remembers him.

Holland first drew major attention as Lucas Bennett in Juan Antonio Bayona’s The Impossible, released in 2012. He later became the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Peter Parker, debuting in Captain America: Civil War in 2016 before leading Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home. He also appeared in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

His other film credits include The Lost City of Z, The Devil All the Time, Cherry, Chaos Walking and Uncharted. The roles allowed him to move beyond the youthful energy of Spider-Man, particularly in Cherry, in which he portrayed a former soldier struggling with addiction, and Uncharted, where he played treasure hunter Nathan Drake.

The actor began performing on the West End as a child in Billy Elliot the Musical. He later studied at the BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology and has spoken publicly about being bullied and living with dyslexia. His background in dance, including ballet and hip-hop, helped shape the physical performance style that became a defining feature of his Spider-Man portrayal.

Holland’s public profile has also been closely linked to Zendaya, his Spider-Man co-star. In an Esquire interview published June 16, 2026, he appeared to confirm that they had married when he said family members did not need to be told that AI-generated wedding images were fake because “they were all there.”

The reported box-office ranking measures the combined worldwide grosses of films associated with an actor; it does not represent personal earnings. The precise total and ranking should be treated as industry-tracking figures rather than a formally standardized award, but current reporting places Holland at the top after the strong global performances of his 2026 releases.
