Netflix has revealed a new title for David Fincher’s Brad Pitt-led follow-up to *Once Upon a Time in Hollywood*, giving the long-awaited project a clearer identity ahead of its November theatrical release.

The film, now positioned around Pitt’s returning character Cliff Booth, will receive an exclusive two-week IMAX run beginning November 25 before arriving on Netflix December 23. Fincher directs from a screenplay by Quentin Tarantino, who created the character for the 2019 film.

The story moves the character into 1977, several years after the events of Tarantino’s original movie. Netflix has described the project as a different chapter for Booth rather than a continuation of the earlier film’s central Hollywood plot.

The cast includes Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller and Corey Fogelmanis. Pitt and producer Ceán Chaffin are producing, with Fincher’s regular collaborators Erik Messerschmidt serving as director of photography and Kirk Baxter editing.

The title change is the latest formal step in a rollout that combines prestige streaming distribution with a major large-format cinema push. Netflix’s decision to place the film in IMAX before its streaming debut also links the project to the platform’s broader effort to make high-profile original films theatrical events.

Pitt’s return as Cliff Booth gives the film an immediate franchise connection, but the 1977 setting and Fincher’s direction indicate a new tonal and visual approach. The November 25 IMAX opening is the next confirmed milestone.
