Sanjay Leela Bhansali has completed principal photography on *Love & War*, bringing together Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal for one of Bollywood’s most closely followed upcoming films.
The shoot wrapped on September 4, 2026, according to reports citing the production update. The film now moves into post-production, where Bhansali’s team will handle editing, visual effects, sound and the background score before the theatrical campaign begins.
*Love & War* is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on January 21, 2027. The film is planned in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, giving the project a pan-India release strategy built around Bhansali’s direction and its three-star cast.
The drama marks Bhansali’s first collaboration with Vicky Kaushal. It also reunites the filmmaker with Ranbir Kapoor after *Saawariya* and with Alia Bhatt after *Gangubai Kathiawadi*. The story details remain tightly guarded, although the project has been described as a romantic drama set against a war backdrop.

The completion of filming is the first major production milestone since the project’s schedule extended across multiple phases. The film was originally associated with earlier release windows before being moved to January 2027.
With principal photography complete, the next major audience-facing step will be the release of official footage, including a first look, teaser or trailer. Until then, the combination of Bhansali’s visual style and the three leading actors remains the central source of anticipation.
