Pakistan International Airlines has unveiled the creative lineup behind its next uniform concept, bringing together 10 prominent names from Pakistan’s fashion industry to shape the airline’s new visual identity.
The initiative places Maheen Khan, Deepak & Fahad, Generation, Ismail Farid, Munib Nawaz, Deepak Perwani, Faraz Manan, Amir Adnan, HSY and Nomi Ansari at the centre of PIA’s uniform redesign project. The airline presented the collaboration as part of a broader effort to develop a new look for its cabin crew and onboard staff.
PIA’s official announcement described the project as an attempt to combine style, identity and the airline’s legacy. The new uniforms are expected to reflect both the practical demands of aviation and the cultural character associated with Pakistan’s national carrier. PIA has not yet publicly released full design details, including final silhouettes, fabrics, colour combinations or the implementation timeline.

The collaboration comes as the airline prepares for what it has described as the next evolution of its uniform. PIA said its existing design had been in use for about a decade and indicated that the new programme would connect Pakistan’s cultural heritage with contemporary design thinking. The airline’s current uniform system includes distinct elements for cabin staff, including the women’s plum-coloured attire and turquoise headscarf associated with its recent visual identity.

The participating designers represent a wide range of established Pakistani fashion labels and individual creative practices. Their involvement gives the project a distinctly national fashion profile while positioning the uniform as more than a workplace garment: it is also a visible expression of the airline’s brand and Pakistan’s image abroad.

PIA’s announcement indicates that the new look remains in development, with the final uniform presentation and rollout details still to be confirmed. For now, the project’s defining fact is the collaboration itself: 10 Pakistani designers are contributing to the next chapter of PIA’s uniform identity.
