Dulquer Salmaan’s I’m Game has received a U/A 16+ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification, clearing the multilingual action entertainer for its September 3 worldwide release.
The film’s team confirmed the certificate on September 1 and opened advance bookings the same day. The clearance removes the final major release-week uncertainty around the project, which had moved from its initially announced August 20 date to a broader September 3 rollout.
Produced by Salmaan and Jom Varghese under Wayfarer Films, I’m Game is directed by Nahas Hidhayath, whose RDX gave him a high-profile action-film breakthrough. Salmaan leads an ensemble that includes Antony Varghese, Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin, Kathir, Vinay Forrt, Parth Tiwari and Samyuktha Vishwanathan.
The production banner framed the update as the end of the wait, confirming that the film was officially theatre-bound. The U/A 16+ classification also provides a clearer indication of the audience bracket for a film marketed around gambling, action and a heightened commercial scale.
I’m Game is slated to arrive in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada, making this more than a Kerala-only release. That pan-India strategy is central to the delayed release plan: the September date was announced as a move designed to widen the film’s theatrical reach across markets.
The release-week campaign has also stayed active with a newly issued song in multiple languages and pre-release-event material circulating from the team. The certification announcement, however, is the material development: it confirms that the film has completed the CBFC process and that ticket sales can proceed.
I’m Game opens worldwide on Thursday, September 3.
